James F. Burgoyne
Oil & Gas Infrastructure
James F. Burgoyne is managing director and head of GE Energy Financial Services' Oil & Gas Infrastructure group which invests in midstream and downstream oil and gas infrastructure assets globally. In this role, James oversees the group’s structured and common equity investments and works closely with the company’s global oil and gas and power investing teams, as well as GE Oil & Gas.
From 2004, in addition to oil and gas related investing, James also oversaw the international team at GE Energy Financial Services which invested in conventional and renewable energy infrastructure assets in countries including Spain, Ireland, France, the UK, Germany, Italy and Turkey. These investments spanned the capital spectrum from equity to debt financing.
Previously, James served as a managing director on GE Structured Finance's global energy team, where he was responsible for client development and the origination of business opportunities with oil and gas, pipeline and power companies, domestically and internationally.
Before joining GE in 1997, James served as an executive director at SBC Warburg. His responsibilities included corporate finance, M&A, advisory and capital markets services for clients in natural resources industries.
James holds a Master's degree in Management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from McGill University. James is based at GE Energy Financial Services' Stamford, Conn., headquarters.
